Grace Period

Grace is a period of time in which payment is not required. The length of the grace period varies by loan type:

	Automatic six-month grace for Federal Stafford loans
	Automatic 9-month grace for T.H.E. Private loans
	Not applicable for Graduate PLUS loans; however, deferments or forbearances may be available.
