T.H.E. Suspending Federal and Private Loans

Effective May 21, 2009, NorthStar Education Finance, Inc. is suspending participation in the federal and private student loan programs through the T.H.E. Loan Program.

We are not accepting applications for federal or private loans at this time.

What this means for pending and future disbursements

Due to T.H.E.'s participation in the ECASLA ("Ensuring Continued Access to Student Loans Act") program through the Department of Education, all federal loans must be fully disbursed by July 15, 2009. Schools and students with pending disbursements beyond this date will be contacted about their options.

Private applications received before May 21, 2009 will be processed and funded.
